I Am Alive Challenge : January 12 2025

Happy Sunday y'all. It's a school Sunday, no work for me. I was able to go to school and I went early. The lecturer had just entered when I got to school so I didn't miss anything. He had 3 hours to teach and about 30 minutes to the end of his time, he ended the lectures and started talking to us.

He said the word "university" comes from the word universe and that we ought to learn more than just what the lecturers are teaching at the university. We need to learn beyond our courses. We need to know more about the universe we live in and not limit ourselves to only the courses we are taking.

He's got some point there. I've not been to any other block since I started. When I go to school, I go straight to my class and as soon as I'm done, I pick my bag straight to the house. I don't even hang around campus. I'm yet to make any friend even though I've been there for a year and over. What I have is classmates but when I don't come for lectures, nobody calls me and if someone doesn't come for lecturers, I call nobody. I'm just on my own.

I need to start making friends but I wonder how. I don't like making calls and most of my mates aren't really into social media. I speak to a few people, but I doubt anyone knows my name. Let's see if it's not too late, I will try to befriend a few people. So far so good and I'm grateful for life.
