I Am Alive Challenge : January 9 2025

Last day of overhaul. There's pressure on us to cut what we are doing short. The general manager herself came around to ask the contractor working in theine to speed things up. She told him the line needs to run that day. The guys had to stay till 11pm even though they are supposed to close at 5 to ensure the line could run. Luckily, we were able to run a bit after they were gone. It wasn't what we hoped for, but it was better than when they weren't around. They say they will be in tomorrow for the finishing touches, however I'm not sure we will experience the full benefits of an overhaul. The overhaul was supposed to end on the 13th and now, they want it to end on the 10th. We will lose 3 days of good work. We can only hope it doesn't affect us too much.

The unfortunate thing is, management will expect a 100% efficiency from us, even though they didn't allow the line to undergo a 100% facelift. They wouldn't understand that what you give is what you get. Garbage in, garbage out. We wait to see what their responses will be when we are unable to reach the efficiency of 100% that they'd be expecting. Waiting to see what happens in the days ahead.
