Glory be to God for a peaceful election. Ghana is indeed a beacon of hope when it comes to elections in Africa. We had another election yesterday and it was relatively peaceful. It was the presidential and parliamentary elections. We had one former president standing against the current vice president. It's similar to what happened in the US.
At the end, the current vice president conceded and called the former president to congratulate him. Most people say it was too early but I guess he realised there's no hope. The gap between the two is more than 10% but it's not yet official as Ghana's Electoral Commission is yet to declare a winner. Anyone listening to the news is already aware where this is going.
I went to church to celebrate and thank God for the peaceful elections. Many people traveled just before the elections due to fears that there might be conflict after. I don't have the means to travel so what I did was to stockpile on food items. I bought 25 kilos of rice and half a box of tomato paste and a few things. I was ready just incase I couldn't go out for a while due to tensions after the elections. In all, God has shown himself powerful. We are still waiting for an official declaration from the electoral commission.
