Happy October!

I know that September contains the Fall Solstice, and I consider it somewhat fall, but October seals the deal! Fall is a little further in swing; pumpkins generally abound; Halloween costumes become abundant as well as the candy, and the temperatures begin their descent into more fall like temperatures. Summer and its heat and humidity are all but gone! I love the fall, maybe because I was born in the fall, although my day isn’t until next month.

I chose not to go to ladies Bible study as our group leader is out of town and I prefer when she’s there to when she’s not. I was able though to put the time to good use. I did my Bible based FFL, a devotional and looked for a good Bible study to do here on my own.

I also roasted a pound of decaf for myself and did a load of laundry. @silvertop was outside doing guy things and when he came in, he suggested a trip to Costco. When we arrived, it was hard not to notice the ‘glow’ from the center of the store! Are you sure it’s October? Check these pics out.

It’s beginning to look like Christmas threw up in there. Those are just the tip of the iceberg!

Having been in retail for many years, I know stores like to hit each season early-the earlier the better-from their perspective. What I’m wondering is whatever happened to anticipation? The day after Thanksgiving was ALWAYS the kickoff to the Christmas season when I was a kid! I understand making a profit, but it’s more like greed, really. 😏 Plus now, there apparently is a port dock workers strike beginning which could result in a disruption of the goods pipeline, adding to increased costs of what’s already here.

Enough however about Christmas, as it is after all, October! 🎃🍁🍄‍🟫🍂🌻

Speaking of tomorrow, it’s the start of the workweek for me. I’m sure it will be busy as usual. Keeps me from being bored, I suppose! 😏
