Early in the morning, a couple of days ago, while my husband was taking our dog for a walk, a car stopped near. A young driver lowered the car window and spoke to my husband.
My husband was expecting the question like where is this or that street but certainly not the one the guy asked.
"Would you like to sell me your dog?"
At first, my husband was shocked, but he got over it quickly. My husband decided to take it as a compliment, so he thanked the young man but also immediately turned him down.
My husband waited the whole day long to tell me about it late in the evening that day.
I was shocked! Just like that?! Out of blue?! On the street?! Early in the morning?!
My reaction was, "NO WAY! NEVER! Not my Bella!!!"
I think my husband knew if he did, said, or reacted differently, he would not be allowed to return home. 😁
But he also loves our Bella dearly, so there wasn't a single chance for a different outcome.

Long ago I read the story of Sylvester Stallone, when he sold his dog for not being able to feed him. Some say it was for $25 and others say it was for $40. Be that as it may, to get it back, I pay a sum of $15,000, after collecting an advance for his first film, Rocky Balboa.
A dog is more than a pet, it is a friend for life.
