How important do you think it is to have Yoga and Meditation included by a Corporate in their wellness programs for their employees?
I believe it is very important. Employees spend a majority of their time at their work-place, hence their well being becomes one major responsibility of their employer. A good and healthy physical and mental health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and it is just not about an absence of any disease. No disease is surely a good sign and at the same time a person also needs to be healthy in their mind.
Yoga makes us feel better, by practicing it regularly it improves our muscle tone, strength, flexibility and builds strength. Practicing breathing exercise helps improve the capacity of our lungs and meditation helps us build focus and bring in more awareness to our actions. When all of it combined together it works like a miracle on our physical and mental health. With these practices our body develops the capacity to beat the stress, which is so common in the corporate world.
A healthy employee with a positive mind is an asset to any organization so it is worth for an employer to make these investments in their employees. This is directly going to impact their performance and bring a better output for the company.
