Heaving Line: Splice the rope

Good day guys! Today i will post about this tool the we always use on the ship during docking at ports.
This is heaving line, often called a throw line or heaving rope, is a specialized rope with a weighted end. The primary purpose of a heaving line is to be thrown from one point to another, typically from a vessel to a shore or between vessels. It acts as a messenger line, enabling the transfer of heavier lines, cables, or even rescue equipment between locations with precision and accuracy.

During out last docking manuever, this heaving line snap because the guys from the shore pull this line too strong using capstan.

Now i will connect and splice this ropes so that next time we can use it again. Splicing 3 strand rope is very easy.
