Travel Pro's Blurt Talent Search! (100,000 BLURT delegation up for grabs!)

Hey @wil.metcalfe

Question 1

You asked wouldn't it make more sense Not to sell Blurt for other tokens that (coin flow) and just utilize Blurt demonstrating it's use case?

We totally agree with you. It is not wise to sell Blurt for other tokens and the best way would be as you say to demonstrate token utility.

We will never sell huge amounts of Blurt. We will always sell small amounts in a way such that the price is least impacted with our project.

But we think the community is not mature enough to build projects that demonstrate the token utility.

The price acts as a major conduit in attracting developers who would build games, and dApps.

There are a few developers who are interested in developing apps, front-ends, and games but the proposal system has been blocked by a certain group/individuals hence clogging the indipendent/decentralised development cycle of this infant Blockchain.

Although Blurt is as old as Hive but it hasn't matured in terms of price, development, DAO and wide exchange exposure.

Question 2

Your second question is what are you going to do with the Blurt you consolidate?

The basic idea of the Blurtbuyback project is to first provide enough liquidity on the Tribaldex Blurt pool and the Pancake swap pool and when we accomplish this goal we want to continue building a Crypto Portfolio that will help us buy back Blurt on exchanges.

Do you know that there's just $4,500 worth of liquidity on Tribaldex Blurt pool? Do you know there is less than $2,500 worth of liquidity on Pancake swap pool?

This impacts the price each time there is a trade and more importantly anyone selling a big number of tokens can crash the price in an instant.

We want to keep adding as much liquidity to the pools for as long as we earn Blurt from our posts.

We plan to buy Tribaldex tokens that give a daily/monthly income to holders and we plan to build a passive income portfolio. The daily income will be used to buy Blurt on exchanges.

One major turnoffs for investors is that it is a painful process to buy Blurt. It is easy for users who have knowledge of Graphene chains but new users struggle and give up.

It is considerably easier to buy Hive and Steem because they are listed on Binance and they offer easy fiat to crypto buying experience.

We aim to someday list Blurt on a major exchange but this is a dream that depends upon how big of a support we garner and how much usdt/btc we collect.

Question 3

Your third question asks a very important question "Wouldn't it be better to lead a collective charge where EVERYONE commits to exchanging their Hive for Blurt?"

That's what we all should be doing ideally and we must be bringing outside investment into Blurt and this will help the price go up.

But these are less than ideal conditions. Blurt is now 2-3 years old and why hasn't anyone done that by now?

We have waited in the sidelines and watched this platform grow and then get destroyed. We do not have contacts that would invest big money into this platform. We are small users and we brought small investors to this platform and it didn't make any difference.

Blurtbuyback is an idea that we think will be successful.

We believe that everyone must work in whatever capacity they can to help this platform.

We think we can make a difference with our idea.

Your opinion

You further add your opinion and say that "In my opinion, the way to make Blurt stronger is to reward those who are maintaining it's price by holding, poweringUP, and using the heck out of it."

Yes, we agree.

Blurtbuyback is an experiment and we need your help. We need everyone's help to make this successful.

You have a network, you are an influencer and you are doing a great job at promoting Blurt. We wish you all the best and hope that Blurt will grow bigger and better in the years to come.

Some hard-hitting facts

FWe all have good intentions and we all love Blurt. Whatever we all are doing is for the love of this platform.

But the fact remains that the fundamentals of Blurt are not strong enough.

You want to bring outside investment? What do you want to show them? That the average daily volume on the only exchange whose volume is displayed on Coingecko is less than $250 a day?

You want to bring in big investment to a platform which has no major development in three years? That we have zero games, no proper sign-up method and less than 5 developers interested in this project?

We love this platform. It gives us freedom of speech in a way that no platform does but as a social financial platform Blurt has not matured as much as other chains.

We are just trying out our strategy and we might not be hugely successful but even a tiny drop can help us fill an ocean.

We wish you all the success and we hope you will help our project in anyway you can so that we all can build a better and stronger platform that survives for years to come.

There's a lot of work to be done. Let's join hands and do what we can.

Sort Order:

Thank you for this succinct explanation of your ideas and intentions.

I'm going to leave you with a few considerations.

  1. Why hold tokens (on Tribaldex) that are pegged to Hive. In my opinion this is counter productive. One of the reasons why Blurt is where it is today is because it has been positioned to closely to the Hive Blockchain. We need to disassociate as much as possible OR compete directly if we are going to make anything worthwhile happen. (My opinion.)
  2. Rather than getting funding via Tribaldex why not use something like ThorChain? (It's something I am considering.)
  3. Getting investors interested doesn't have to be about price. It can be about utility. Using the tool is how you sell the tools usefulness and thereby validate it's price. If everyone here on Blurt decided to launch a creative project (even as a side hustle/ labor of love) this is all that Blurt would need to create enough waves and garner the attention it needs.
  4. Because you are asking for support from the community. Because you are talking about building inroads with Hive (via Tribaldex) I believe the success of your approach is dependent on skin in the game. This sort of endeavor is ultimately about trust.

I'm heading to Cubu for the next couple weeks. When I return I'll have more bandwidth to discuss this further with you if that is what will move things forward.

This should give us both plenty of time to think/plan/act.
