Every year, our hospital holds this Operation Tuli, or free circumcision. Every staff were encouraged to attend and assist this yearly event. Earlier today, as we were outgoing duties, we were the one who were incharged for the preparation of instruments, as to the arrangement and the flow for the said activity.
As I was waiting for any instruments to be cleaned up and refilled, I was also designated as the photographer for documentation purposes.
We were informed that there will be 50 children who will be circumcised, but we cater more than 50 children.
Yeah, there were different children came from the neighboring town. Some of them were brave enough that everytime we explained to them the procedure, they will smile and giving us assurance that it will be fine.
But there were also children that were scared, especially they witness that some really cried during the procedure.
We alternately take commands from our colleagues, served them what they need.
It was indeed a succesful event, we were praised by our supervisor, chief nurse and also our chief of hospital. Also beeing able to helped this young children being circumcised is such a great feeling.
