Last July 17, 2023 was the scheduled for our SugBusog Garden first harvest. It was done right after our weekly staff meeting. All staff and employees where encouraged to participate and witness the first harvest. It was a three-hour activity wherein we the staff where divided into groups to be assigned to a patucular vegetable.
They were from DR/OB Department, assigned for the string beans.
Oh! I forgot to mention, these harvested vegetables were sold to be cooked in the kitchen and will be served to our patients. The profit will be kept and saved for future use in the SugBusog Garden.
This staff was assigned at OPD Department. She harvested more than 2 kilos for the Okra.
We called this vegetable as Upo. This is commonly cooked with ground pork, and mostly the kitchen staff served these during lunch, well as what i had noticed😊.
We also harvested Ampalaya. I had a bite with it and it doesn't taste so bitter like any other ampalaya.
Well, we also harvested avocado.
We the staff were the first to buy to any vegetables or fruits harvested. We allso have mangoes but i wasn't harvested during that time.
