وضو نماز یا دیگر مذہبی سرگرمیوں سے پہلے پاکیزگی کی اسلامی رسم ہے۔ اس میں صاف پانی کا استعمال کرتے ہوئے چہرے، ہاتھ، بازو، سر اور پاؤں کو ایک مخصوص ترتیب سے دھونا شامل ہے۔

تیمم ایک اسلامی رسم ہے جو بعض حالات میں وضو یا غسل کے متبادل کے طور پر ادا کی جاتی ہے جہاں پانی تک رسائی مشکل یا ناممکن ہو۔
اس میں صاف زمین یا دھول کا استعمال کرتے ہوئے خشک وضو کرنا شامل ہے، اور یہ عام طور پر ہنگامی حالات میں کیا جاتا ہے، جیسے کہ جب کوئی فرد بیمار ہو، سفر کر رہا ہو یا بیابان میں ہو۔

وضو اور تیمم دونوں کو اسلامی عبادات میں اہم طریقوں کے طور پر سمجھا جاتا ہے اور کسی بھی مذہبی کام میں مشغول ہونے سے پہلے جسمانی اور روحانی طور پر اپنے آپ کو پاک کرنے کا ذریعہ سمجھا جاتا ہے۔
