Hi Friends
Hope everything is going well...😊
Recently we went on a road trip to the Badulla district. It was our first long-distance trip with our baby. Choosing destinations that we could visit with the baby was the challenging part of the trip planning.
Therefore we chose all places where we can reach in a short time. Babarakanda waterfalls are a must-watch when visiting the Uva province. We decided to visit the tallest waterfall in our country on the way. It is located in the Kalupahana area.
You can reach the place easily by vehicle. The road toward the waterfall had many sharp bends and It almost gave me a heart attack. But the view was mind-blowing.
It is just about 20 mins walk from the ticket counter to the waterfall. The entrance ticket cost us LKR 30 (Per person) The mesmerizing view of the surrounding mountains and the walk through the pine forest made the walk from the ticket counter a memorable one.
The baby carrier made my trek much easier to climb up the stairs. It was a relief to see the stairs toward the waterfall.
I was bewildered by the height of the waterfall, there was not much water at the time we visited. I can imagine how gorgeous it is during the rainy season. There were many people bathing at the bottom of the waterfall, I recommend avoiding getting into the water as I feel it is very risky and dangerous.
There is a small seating area where you can nicely sit and enjoy the view.
My job was to pose as I love taking pictures in such beautiful surroundings. It was a wonderful experience for me and my baby. I could show him the pictures we took when he grow up and recall the lovely memories we made together.
Thanks for visiting my blog... Hope you enjoyed reading my post!
