While there has been a lot of infrastructure development that has happened in India for the last few years but still there are still some places that more or less remain the same. I have been doing quite a few short intercity travels, and some of these places are small towns.
I have been visiting these places since childhood, before it was with my dad when we would go visiting our relatives during vacations. It always used to be fun, and I would look forward to these times. Nowadays I travel not to meet relatives but for some other work. Most of them have now moved to bigger cities and far away, so its not possible for me to go and meet everyone.
The train stations of India are very different from what I have seen in other countries. Here, you will find many stalls where a variety of items will be sold. Majorly snacks. A lot of new trains have been introduced, but the old ones also still run. Some of them are very old and how I wish they would not continue with them anymore, but again India has to cater to all masses so while it may not favor me it may favor many other people.
Mumbai has 3 main station and this is one of them Mumbai Central. Everyday millions of people travel from all of these train stations and you can guess it from the size of it. This one is comparatively a smaller one then the other two.
This is what I was saying about the old trains, they look very old now, but they still serve good purpose.
This is a better one
At every station big or small you will find these stalls, where you get variety of things including some travel accessories.
So here's a glimpse of the railway station of a small town. This station is called Vapi.
This is the new train, called Vande Bharat. The run across multiple destinations across India, they are super fast and cuts down the travel time drastically.
