The secrets about the man called Morgan

I am Very Rev. Fr. Opara Morgan (MSSCC), a Catholic Priest working in Owerri Ecclesiastical Province.

The journey of this man called Morgan.
On a bright Monday, (when God's raw materials for creation are still enormous), precisely on the 24th August 1992, God graciously blessed the family of Late Mr. Valentine Anaele Opara and Late Mrs. Fidelia Ndawii Opara, of Umunwereaku Umuaririogu Okpuala Amakohia in Ikeduru Local Government Area, Imo State, with the birth of a baby boy named Morgan Amarachi the Second son of three boys and three girls. I lostmy mother at a tender age, precisely on the 6th of March, 1997 and so I found solace in books.

My academic career began from Umueze Umuohiagu nursery school to Ekeji nursery school in Umuanyamele Umuohiagu. Then to Crown Saint Nursery and primary school Umuorisha Umuohiag. All this whileI maintained an unbeaten record of first position but was never promoted simply because my hands could not reach my ears through my head. I went on to Umuorisha Primary School (UPS) in Umuohiagu Ngor-Okpala L.G.A. Following the transfer of my Father who was a teacher, I joined Central school Mbutu where I acquired my First School Leaving Certificate in 2004. Followingmy excellence, I was exposed to many examinations ranging from Cowbell Maths to gifted children exams in which I won a scholarship to study in Federal Government College Kano which my father denied me for security reasons.

I gained admission into Christ the King Secondary School Obike, where I acquired my WASCE and NECO with excellent grades (2004-2010). My dedication gained me honorable positions at CKSS Obike as Deputy Senior Prefect, Chief Choir master, school journalist, etc.

My childhood wish blazed on all through these years and began to materialize as I decided to give a bold response to the Divine Self-Communication of God and The Divine invitation to "Come, follow me", when in 2011 I was admitted to the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary the home of 'love' whichI have sort for years. This noble institute sent me to Seat of Wisdom Seminary Owerri for academic formation, where I was awarded a Bachelor of Philosophy from Pontifical Urban University Rome, Bachelor of Arts from IMO State University, (2011-2016), Bachelor of Theology from Pontifical Urban University Rome and Bachelor of Art on Religious Studies from IMO State University (2017-2021). A journey filled with thorns on the way.
My pastoral experience are as seminarian are as follows:
-St. Martin's of Tours, Ihiala Anambra state (2013).
-St. Gaetano Errico Seminary, Ulakwo (2014).
-St. Peter's Ejemekwuru Uguta L.G.A Imo State. (2015).
-Chukwubueze Parish Osomala, Ogbaru L.G.A Anambra state (2016).
-Sacred Hearts Parish Amaigbo, Nwangele L.G.A Orlu IMO state (2018).
-St. Raphael Parish Akwukwuigbo, Delta State (2019).

I was admitted to the novitiate (8th September 2016-8th September, 2017). I made my first religious profession on 8th September, 2017. I was raised with special dispensation to office of a Lector and Acolyte on 7th September, 2018, and made my Final religious profession on 12th September, 2020. I was raised to the Ecclesial hierarchy as I was ordained a Deacon on 12th December, 2020.

pon us, a seed has germinated from the stock of "Opara" in the little town of Umunwereaku, the first Priestly shoot and fruit of the great town of Umuaririogu of Amakohia Autonomous community. The new day is dawn, the great light has shown as I wass ordained a priest on the 8th July, 2021.
Rejoice daughter of Zion, rejoice all the you sons and daughters of the Lord, the Lord has remembered his chosen family. Indeed "the dry bones have risen again". All in darkness behold the light, the Lord has sent His servant as a messenger of hope to all the downtrodden. Trust in the Lord and your light will surely shine bright.
The journey was a true test of faith, perseverance and a total manifestation of grace. Many began (12 in my set and just 2 reached the finish line among which I am).its just grace, simply put.
I am a great lover of sports, a footballer per excellence. A singer, song writer, A composer and lover of music. I am a philosopher of Love, a psychologist, an academian, an eloquent speaker and an actor. I am a researcher and a scientist. I am a mentor, a coach, an inspiration to many. Experimentation of different ideas is in my DNA.

I am a thinker. I am a Humble-Lion as my friend tag me, filled with wisdom and insight. I am daring and loves doing the difficult, not believing there is anything impossible. I have a golden heart. I am very patient in all things, a typical characteristic of a true Arsenal Fan.

All of the above makes credible and true that everything in life is "grace" just as my name "Amarachi" (God's Grace) suggests. This grace becomes more efficient when we corporate with God's Divine plan. The joy of a sojourner is a happy arrival to his homeland. I still celebrate a happy arrival to the Lord's Vineyard. An end to a new beginning. Journey to priesthood has ended, and journey in priesthood is on.

My first assignment after ordination is the director of Sacred Hearts Catholic Nursery and Primary School (SHCNPS) Ulakwo, Owerri North L.G.A. IMO State, Nigeria and I have successfully begun a junior secondary school by name Saint GaetanonErrico College, Ulakwo; with only JSS1 presently hoping to expand it as the students progress academically.
