Hi Guys!

Greetings dear friends. We all know that management is a fundamental tool for the achievement of the objectives of any organization. But defining the role of a manager is sometimes difficult since depending on the type of organization he/she will have to perform different types of activities, whose common denominator is that they all require management skills and knowledge that not all people master.

As in any other organization, in education you must organize, manage resources and achieve goals. Image credit: pixabay.com.

Management is a process of organization and efficient use of resources to achieve a certain end, and an educational institution is no different from any other type of organization, in which the educational manager must lead his team towards the achievement of institutional objectives, through continuous motivation and constantly guiding and supervising the work of the personnel under his charge. That is why the person in charge of educational management, like any other manager, to lead an institution must use functions such as planning, direction, organization, task control, and budgeting, which are typical managerial functions in any organization.

Especially in the educational field, the management process can be complicated, the reason is that the main resource with which we work is the human being, and this tends to have a sometimes unpredictable behavior in situations, which forces the person who leads the direction of the institution to make use of knowledge and skills in communication and mediation to effectively carry out the proposed activities.

We all know the role that a teacher has in the formation, which provides teaching through his example, so it must be organized, what he teaches must be planned, and must know the capabilities and limitations of their students, for this reason, the first glimpses of management, outside our home, we appreciate them in this person.

A teacher must guide and instruct in the development of imagination and critical thinking, focus on the development of new projects, must move away from the conventional to influence non-conformity with the everyday pre-established, forcing us to explore new horizons, so if we see it in a certain way, it is also our first approach to an entrepreneur.

On the other hand, at some point, the teacher must move from directing a classroom to directing part or all of the institution, and although his role as an educator moves to another plane, his experience in planning and management must be elevated to the maximum, and he must continue to be creative, guiding, motivating and supervising to have a good performance with the staff under his charge.

That is why the teacher must be aware of the role of management at all levels of education, and we cannot continue to manage education with normative management and lack of leadership.

Finally, we must say that every educational institution must have good managers, because the quality of the teaching and learning process depends on them, as well as the formation of a critical and entrepreneurial spirit, something that all nations need for their development.

Well friends I hope you enjoyed the reading, and let's remember that a teacher must also be a manager and that his main resource is people. See you next time!
