The definition of macro photography is taking a photo with the result of an image or a small object with a very close, detailed, sharp shooting distance, and without the help of tools such as microscopic. Small objects such as small animals are taken to explore various kinds of details and textures that cannot be seen clearly and with the naked eye.

Macro Photography Tools

To get the desired macro object, a photographer must have several tools in terms of macro photography, including:

Camera

The camera is certainly an absolute requirement that must be owned by a photographer. The camera that is usually used by photographers to take macro pictures is a special SLR or DSLR camera. The brands of SLR or DSLR cameras that are most widely sold in the market and also of very high quality are Canon and Nikon. DSLR itself is an abbreviation of the word digital single lens reflect.

Camera lens

A camera certainly has a camera lens. In macro photography, the lens commonly used is a fixed 50 mm lens.

Flash Trigger

Flash triggers will be needed because the external flash light on the camera is certainly not mounted on the camera body, but is installed separately. If it is still mounted on the camera body, it will be at risk, so the light obtained from the flash lamp is blocked by the lens which has been given an additional tool to produce macro photos.

Macro photo capture process

If you already have an object to be photographed, try to take it slowly and not in a hurry. For example, flies or other small insects, of course, will fly when you approach. As a suggestion, you can also use a speed of 60/s, so that the lens shake does not become too large. Speed 60/s is a very safe point for macro shooting. But the resulting photo may be dark, that's where the extra external flash should be placed. A mini tripod is also very necessary to get calm when taking photos.

Like the understanding of macro photography, it is very rare that macro photos can be produced in one shot. It takes several shots, and you can choose the best photo.
