Homeland Insecurity

Doorbells and driveway cams,
Feeding our actions to the ones we trust,
Protecting us from those we think, would harm our fams.
Gates and Musk, the Blue and the Camo, whom trigger no disgust.

Who is it historically, that scales its harm exponentially?
Is it the serial killer or the burglar, or is it the one who follows orders?
Uniforms and badges have spilt more blood than those who kill preferentially.
Property pilfered by profiteers imprison us with their borders.

Bayesian reasoning be damned, let the lawgivers be spammed,
With endless requests from people who see threats, from those who are oppressed.
Armored, armed with psychological studies, our oppressors will see us rammed.
It was always the one with the suit, with the greatest capacity to steal fruit, who would have guessed?

I write these words for the herds who see the turds,
But I know full well they will fall on deaf ears.
The masses can't part with the Catabolic Masses to their girds.
One who has much to lose from action has many fears.

So for short-term gain, they face the pain,
Threats from the long term are unpredictable and uncertain.
They'll gladly hand over their info to wolves who seem sane,
Rather the pull back the ever elusive, silk-smooth curtain.

For the insecure, let's make the homeland secure.
Check your footage of cats running across your driveway, and let the law do it, too.
You could try a product that feeds to you, without footage for others to procure.
So I and you can walk our streets, when the black shirts arise from the blue.
