As the Summer approaches, I am looking forward to football. Pre-season begins in August, and I look forward to the Fall when the games begin.

The older I get, the more appealing it is to sit on the couch and catch some football. My teams are the Arizona Cardinals with the Murray Magic and the Seattle Seahawks with Russell Wilson, who may soon leave the nation of boom.

Ok, so what's up with the NFL recently?

Deion Jones of the Atlanta Falcons received shoulder surgery. This is generally a big deal, but he will be at training camp soon. Good news for the Falcons, which is a team I respect.

The Green Bay Packers picked up two rookies on rookie contract. Good luck guys! Green Bay did great last year and swept the Cardinals out of a Superbowl bid late in the season.

Kyler Murray, the QB of the Arizona Cardinals will get his contract renewed this Summer. Murray led the team to an initial 7-0 lead last year, but lost later in the season. This was only the 2nd time this feat has been accomplished.

I cannot wait for the cool Fall days, the cookouts and the cold beer on Sunday. Until then, we have to make it through a long hot Summer.

Who is your team? Any news?

The summer months without much sport are always long. Whilst I don't follow American Football, I have a soft spot for the Seahawks as I know a few people who are big fans - lucky enough to go to the Superbowl a few years ago (which is probably more than a few years now!)
