Anfield is one of the home Stadiums in European football where opponents know what to expect whenever they are up against Liverpool.
Immediately you step onto the pitch, you will be welcomed by the loud voice of Liverpool fans at the Kop end of the stadium singing You'll Never Walk Alone followed by Allez Allez Allez.
I've never been there but even the sound I here whenever I'm streaming Liverpool's home game is always electrifying. I have also seen Liverpool win games which they were never supposed to win just because of that Anfield effect.
Here we go again;
Liverpool is back in their home stadium to play their second game of the season which is also their first home game of the season.
The media team in their usual classy fashion prepared a video which you will surely love to watch if you're a Liverpudlian.
I can imagine how the city will be buzzing at the moment and the type of expectations they will have from the team in this game, especially after the unfavourable results we got in our first game of the season.
Will Anfield erupt tonight?
Even when Liverpool is having a very bad game by their lofty standards, this is the type of game which I refer to as a 'must-win' for them.
Firstly because I'm a Liverpool fan and I was very livid when we dropped 2 crucial points in our first game of the season at Craven Cottage. Secondly, my FPL team needs the magical touch of Mo Salah and TAA.
I saw a very interesting stat which shows that Salah has never scored or gotten an assist in game week 2 throughout his stay at Liverpool. That's one hell of a record, yet many of us still gave him the armband. Haha.
Will he blank again? Maybe, but the important part of the statement is that he may break the deadlock and that will be a joy to witness.
Let's look at how Liverpool lines up for tonight
This is pretty much what you would expect although I expected Gomes to start in that CB position ahead of Phillips.
My Prediction for the game
A win for Liverpool. Not too sure about the Clean sheet. Haha. Let's say 3 - 0 in favour of the mighty reds.
We will see how it ends after 90 minutes.
