This Thursday the exciting children's tournament "Looking for a Capablanca" began as part of the acclaimed 56th edition of the Capablanca Memorial, whose main venue is the iconic Habana Libre Hotel in Havana.
The tournament will be held until May 12, in which a total of 250 promising participants from different regions of Cuba and five other Latin American countries will gather. The players will be classified in the categories of U-8 to U-16 years, and will seek to be crowned as the next Capablanca of the tournament.
In addition to the main venue, children will also have the opportunity to compete in the Cuba Pavilion, where the children's competition will take place until May 7.
This event, which is dedicated to the sport, attracts crowds every year and is highly anticipated by chess fans all over the world.
