Former New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Brendon McCullum has been appointed as the new England Test coach. This time another legend Daniel Vettorio got a job. The former spinner has joined the camp of Australia, another strong opponent of New Zealand like England. Vettori has been appointed as Australia's assistant coach.

Vettori has joined full-time head coach Andrew MacDonald as one of two assistants. Another is Andrei Borovich.
McDonald was well known as the coach of IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals and was the bowling coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Vettori was again the head coach of Bangalore from 2014 to 2016. That's when Vettori got McDonald's in his coaching team.

That being said, the experience of working with McDonald's has helped Vettori to be hired as an assistant coach in Australia. Not only that, Vettori-McDonald was also a teammate in Bangalore Jersey Guy.
Vettori is optimistic about the Australian team, saying: "The team is very strong and united, with the potential to be a very successful and productive chapter in the future. The way they played against Pakistan really impressed me. Vettori has played 113 Tests and 295 ODIs for New Zealand in a colorful 18-year career.

Earlier, Vettori also served as Bangladesh's spin bowling consultant, as well as coaching franchises such as the Barbados Royals in the Caribbean Premier League, the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash and the Middlesex in the Vitality Blast, in addition to the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Vettori-Borovich's first assignment as McDonald's assistant coach দুই a two-Test series against Sri Lanka. Andrei Borovich, of course, has been with the Australian team before. The former Victoria cricketer will be coaching Australia's 'A' team for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
