When we are unable to settle into deep sleep, it is an unpleasant sight. We toss and turn around, become constantly worried and anxious, and are lost in thoughts of tomorrow. Many people often feel fatigued and drowsy. The causes are high stress levels, having an unhealthy diet, consumption of alcohol, excessive screen use, and our commitments. These factors take a massive toll on our physical, cognitive and emotional health.
Why it matters:
Sleep is a physiological process which is important for our health. Through it we get a period for vital processing, restoration, and strengthening ourselves. If it is less, we get health problems, impaired memory and mood disorders. Sleep 7 to 9 hours each night
• Develop a routine for it, allowing our body to adjust to a regular sleeping cycle.
• Dim the lights remain calm and have a limited exposure to screens.
• It is important to have a right environment.
• The sleeping area must be cool, dark, and quiet and you must be comfortable.
• What we eat has an impact on our sleep.
• Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
• Minimize stress, meditate and opt for deep breathing.
• Get enough sleep because it is crucial for health.
