If you've ever had trouble sleeping or experienced insomnia, you know how awful it can be. Beyond giving you the stamina to go through the next day at work, getting a good night's sleep has other, more significant advantages. Over time, sleep deprivation can seriously harm your health, leaving you vulnerable for everything from heightened stress, depressive disorders, memory problems, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes to impaired immunity, hormonal imbalances, high cholesterol, and even weight gain. Even worse, one assessment of 15 studies found that those who receive less than the recommended 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night have considerably greater rates of heart disease or stroke.

The facts are in: obtaining the proper amount of sleep is just as crucial to overall health as eating a good diet. But it's not always simple. I've occasionally experimented with alternative techniques in an effort to get some better sleep when insomnia strikes. But CBD has been the most successful sleep aid I've recently discovered. See why CBD might be the solution you're looking for to improve your sleep—it's all-natural, there are dozens of options, and it's safe for daily usage.

CBD has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant characteristics that are linked to a number of excellent health advantages, including the reduction of pain and anxiety. Studies have demonstrated that CBD is a useful treatment for improving sleep quality.

How does CBD function? Endocannabinoids, a class of neurotransmitter produced by our bodies, connect to receptors found in the endocannabinoid system (ECS), a portion of the nervous system. The ECS is involved in a number of bodily processes, including immunity, hunger, pain sensitivity, and sleep quality. It was only recently identified and is still not completely understood. CBD molecules bind to these endocannabinoid receptors as they go through the body, which can make us feel relaxed while reducing pain sensations.

In a 2019 study, anxiety disorders decreased in 79% of participants after taking 25 mg of CBD capsules for one month, while sleep quality optimized in 66 percent of patients with anxiety disorders and difficulty sleeping.

How secure is CBD?
CBD doesn't have any of the same euphoric or psychoactive effects as THC, marijuana's other well-known cannabinoid that is well-known for its capacity to cause a "high." Actually, hemp, a member of the same species of plant as marijuana but with less than 0.3 percent THC, is the only source from which all CBD-containing products are legally permissible under federal law.

In a report from the World Health Organization,

"CBD does not cause any effects in humans that would suggest abuse or dependence potential."
