the newbies have a lot of attention so i will not curate those, i will curate the ones who are in Blurt for some time and not enough in the spotlights.
It will help show posts who might deserve more than my vote and that is one of the goals of me doing this call...you deserve 100% !

I don't think the long term repercussions of a 'tax yourself, for rewards' has been thought through properly. (imo).
The only logical reason for this 'gentle coercion' is a short term rise in price when bitcoin rises (as the dollar implodes, but only temporarily before then crashing again) for cashing out, knowing full well the long term prospects are nil and maximizing profits before it happens...just my opinion.
I do not bend the knee.
Now my contract has expired, I am now free once again, to post on blurt.
A 'coercion tax' does not offer any incentive to post - and definitely not for anyone even thinking of joining - quite the opposite.

hmmm....I have yet to see any tax upon peoples productivity (in the entirety of history, that I'm aware of), where it is viewed as 'adding new energy' - draining energy, yes, but adding ?... no).
... I'm also not aware that taxation of the productive (parasitical in nature), as ever being seen as 'a fun twist'... just sayin'
I agree, the price wont pump much because of this (all dependent on bitcoin, not blurt).
For the large accounts who use the platform as a financial product by buying/selling/arbitraging - it would make a considerable difference in the short term.
If this doesnt bring positivity , i will stop it and i am sure everyone else will too.
in some ways , burning tokens should be positive but not always , i agree.

It's not the burning of tokens that is the problem/issue.
It's the coercive nature of it. 'if you don't do this, then I won't give you that'...
(people naturally hate coercion and it acts, psychologically, as a disincentive to produce the very products that would attract more users...hmmm...).
I do like how Opidia is not asking creators to burn rewards , she as a curator only burns the rewards of these daily posts she makes . She still upvotes posts that do not burn . Fair and honest to me .

In the end digital nomad is not for me , a offgrid nomad i truly am .

Doing my works offline , face to face with all the good people i meet .
One month in Montenegro now , connecting with people that are ready for a change .
Today my last day in a old caravan in Montelibero.org , tomorrow up in the mountains ,
working on some libertarian German's new home , for at least the next 3 months .
No urge in me to post about it on blurt , for it all seems useless to me .
It might be one day in the future that i will write some post again .
Depends on people like you and some crazy penguin if that future might come true .

It is not a free market, it is not merit based on content - it is a financial product.
A financial product with no demand.
For any people with a 'libertarian minded ethos', it smacks of 'a serf tax' - you tax yourself, (setting to null is todays tax - for promise of something in the future - hopium), and I will support you ?
Now my 'contract of silence on blurt' has expired (5 days ago), I find this is a disincentive to post. (incentive being the engine of productivity).
Now my contract of silence has expired, from whoever it was that put the crypto in my wallet to not post (I know not who), this new 'tax' makes me wonder...
As an account that has supported my work over the years, (for whatver reason), I'm now pondering 'if I do not BEND THE KNEE', does this mean that will my work will no longer have the same support...?

But then the big accounts should ..but those are the founders accounts who dont follow this movement .
My first idea was just to curate and help people who are not seen enough.
That null movement can be stopped at any time and it is good to ask ourself if it is going in the right direction.
