Take a good look at my piece, not a glance, and study fine!
Many years back, I use to have the belief that a piece of art is as important as the material used but then, I met a lot of people with the opinion that the material doesn't really count most times but how the artist uses them is the most important thing, I almost agreed with them but now.......
I have come to the conviction that for me as an artist, my art materials are as important as the piece I am planning to produce or working on, infact, I sometimes lose interest in a work when the materials I desired aren't available.
What brought about the pep talk on the importance of the materials used is the drawing above which I just studied, compared to my drawings in the past few weeks, the paper (cartridge) I used in making today's drawing made me study looks more definite and attractive and by so, I can't but agree with my thoughts and convictions that the materials used are as important as the arts themselves!
