My Daughter and my Son received a late Christmas gift from their Ninang/MommyTitz yesterday!
It's a late Christmas gift because during Christmas we went home into our province(hometown- Camotes Island)
Receiving late christmas gift is not impolite to give people late Christmas gifts. A lot of people don’t seem to understand that the Christmas Season last until January 6. That’s when the three kings arrived at the manger to give the Christ Child their gifts. After the 6th the season is over.
There is the 12 days of Christmas too. That starts at the 25th of December and ends 12 days later. you can give them a present each and everyday. Take a cue from that song. You can stretch out the gift giving season and not feel put out and put upon. Visit your relative on one day and bring the gift, then go to another relative and do the same. If they say something snarky remind of that lovely old tradition and the origins that started in “Jolly Old England”.
You can do this also (which is more delightful in my opinion), is that you can start a tradition on giving gifts at the first of the new year. It would be so pleasant to have a gift to open at the beginning of the new year. With all the hustle and chaos going on December 25 people really don’t get to enjoy the experience of the gift that you gave them. It’s a charming way to start the new year and the Christmas Season is still upon us.
*My kids was very happy to their gifts, they didn't expect gifts because the Christmas was already done😅😁
