Fencing system is technical way of securing our houses in order to reduce entrance by unauthorized persons. How ever, every community has a traditional way to secure their houses/ properties. In Nigeria, the case is the same and it's the same for Ngwa people. The Ngwa people are ethnic group found in Eastern Nigeria. They are farmers. Palm trees are in large quantity and to them no part of the palm tree is a waste.

Traditionally, the Ngwa people live in spacious compounds. And they use palm fronds, bamboo and raffia fronds to fence their houses for security and boundaries.
