Sometimes we have friends that always compare his or her achievements to yours.
Sometimes our relatives and acquaintance let us down.
Sometimes certain colleagues always shun your opinions during meetings and formal gatherings.
Do they do this to make you feel awful and sad?
If your answer is YES then you might need to look into your circle because you might have a couple of toxic persons in your life.
It doesn't matter how close you are to them. Or the relationship that exist between you and them. It is essential to define your relationship with them as fast as you can, else it might have negative effects on your growth and development.

In dealing with a situation such as this you need to do a thorough check to determine why you feel they are toxic. Do their actions look manipulative? Do they in any way make your life feel mysterious? Observe and determine how they make your life feel toxic. When this is achieved you'd know how to control the situation.
This issue could further be amended by examining yourself, your actions and reactions. This is somewhat necessary after you have examined others - self examination is also expedient. Self examination could help you understand the situation and help you to make moves to reduce the toxic people's opinions about you.
Consider what they use as their yardstick for success and yours. Are they in any way similar? Money might be their yardstick and yours is different. All these should be put into consideration.
Take a step further by confiding in someone. Talk to them about the toxic people in your life and hear their view about. They might see it from a different window and proffer a solution. Doing this you'd feel relieved.
