Hello Everyone!
I hope you are doing well...

The morning was cold and gloomy. We were not in the mood to have rice and curry for breakfast. We wanted to have something hot and spicy. Bangla Roti is one of my favorite food to have any time of the day. The taste of it brings beautiful memories of my childhood.

I always like to have Bangla roti with this tempered Potato curry. They call it "Alu Bhagi". When the Alu Bhagi and the Rotti combine, it tastes like heaven to me. It's a simple recipe but tastes a lot.

Mom is very talented to catch up on things fast. She has learned to make Bangla roti from one of her Bangla friends. Way she uses the rolling pin to make roti in proper thickness and shape.

I helped her to fry it. I used butter and ghee to add more taste to the roti. Bangla roti is very different from our traditional coconut roti. Bangla roti is a bit time-consuming but it needs fewer ingredients when compared with the Sri Lankan traditional roti.

You can add an egg to have with Roti and potato curry, It is more delicious! Today I just had it with potato curry as the roti was very heavy and filling.

Baby Vihan likes to have roti but I made him rice too. I added carrots and a yellow sweet potato. He loves to have his breakfast when I make this menu. We all enjoyed our meal together with family.
