Hafeez's first hurdle in his preparations before the T20 World Cup was stomach ache. That is why Pakistan could not play in the first round of the domestic T20 Cup. The former captain contracted dengue before returning to field cricket after overcoming that problem.
Hafeez has been diagnosed with dengue in Lahore. The second round of Pakistan's National Twenty20 Cup is scheduled to start there on October 6.
According to Pakistani media sources, Hafeez's blood platelets have dropped a lot. In this situation, there are fears whether Hafeez will be able to perform as expected even if he returns to the National T20 Cup.
In fact, Pakistan will start their T20 World Cup campaign on October 24 with a field match against arch-rivals India.

The names of the two new teams in the IPL are announced in October
