Kunjalata is a creeping flowering plant. Its other names are Tarulata, Kamalata, Taralata, Gateful, Gaitlata, Sujarkanti etc. Blight is found in almost all regions of the world. Kunjalta flowers bloom in the morning so many people call it Sujarkanti. It is also called Taralata for its pentagonal star-shaped flower formation. Getlata or gate flower is popularly named because it is produced at the gate of the house.

Curly perennial creeper. Average length is 1 to 3 meters. Its leaves are 2 to 9 cm, deeply lobed, with 9 to 19 leaflets on each side. Its flower structure is 3 to 4 cm long and 2 cm in diameter. The micaceous flower petals have 5 pointed tips that look like stars. Blooming flowers are very beautiful to see. Flowers are odorless. It has red pink, white colored flowers. However, red flowers bloom more. Flowering season is summer and extends till autumn. After flowering, the tree bears small fruits. The fruit contains seeds. Mature seeds are black in color. Propagation is done from seed. Well-drained sunny upland and loam to sandy loam soils are best suited for this flower production. It is possible to grow this flower in the house gate, boundary fence or other bouncy places. This flower plant cannot survive without flowers. Almost everywhere in our country, this flower plant can be seen in home gardens, roof gardens and gardens of various institutions.
