According to the information received, although native to tropical Asia and Africa, Rooster flower is a popular flower in Bangladesh. Depending on the region, this flower is also called as Rooster's comb, Lalmurga. Cockscomb flower scientific name- Celosia argentea, family- Amaranthaceae species of tropical Asia. Plants are usually 30-90 cm tall. Planted for beautification in gardens.

There are different types of cockles. The leaves, branches, stems and flowers have different colors depending on the species. Red, orange, yellow, white, golden and mixed color roosters can be seen. Flowers are odorless, bright colored soft feathers. After collecting the flowers from the tree and keeping them, even if the flowers dry up, their brightness is not lost. At the end of flowering mature flowers contain seeds, the seeds are like data seeds. Propagation by seed can be done by saving the seeds for propagation in the next season.
