Visit to Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Hello everyone.
Last summer with friends we went to Travnik, town in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is 90 kilometers from Sarajevo.
Beautiful town. Travnik has rich history. We visited Travnička tvrđava, old Travnik fortress. It is also called Stari grad or Old Town. There is beautiful spring called Plava voda or Blue water and Šarena džamija ( Colorful mosque) built in 1815.

This is first place that we visited. This spring is called Plava voda or Blue water.
During summer it is very refreshing near the water.

There are small water ponds.

Pigeons resting and drinking water. It was interesting to see them standing there and drinking water.

There are fishes in the ponds.

There are different divisions inside. This may be more private yard.

Windows and doors are lovely.

Some parts of the fortress are used as exhibition places and museum.
Here you can find some tools, traditional clothes, pottery and cups that were used before and some information about town.

This is loom or old weaving machine.
There is one lady that uses machine in there. It is operational.

This is clock tower. In bosnian it is called Sahat kula.

This is Šarena džamija or Colorful mosque. It was renovated in 1815. Before that there were two mosques. It has beautiful decorations and ornaments outside and inside.

There is Bezistan under the mosque. It is built when second mosque was renovated. Here there are some shops.

If you are visiting Bosnia Travnik is place which you should definitively visit.
