WELCOME BACK BLURT...LET US ENJOY SOME BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS TO CELEBRATE!/BIENVENIDO DE NUEVO BLURT... ¡DISFRUTEMOS DE UNAS BONITAS FLORES PARA CELEBRARLO!

My potted "miniature" rose (red) continues to put out blooms. My other miniature roses do not get very tall, and this one in years past was the same. For some reason it has gotten very tall, and with it many more blooms. The blooms are also slightly larger than they usually are. I trust it will show up on your screen as wonderful has it has on mine.

We have survived another week on Blurt. With the price being down still, I continue to buy Blurt to add to my portfolio. It has seen these price levels in the past, and eventual adjusted upwards without warning. During the last lows is when I accumulated quite a few of them. It was easier then because BTC was priced higher. No matter, with my plans and being able to generate supplemental income when I decide to retire, I will continue to reinvest earnings (after I pay curators), besides buying more on the dips. (Since I wrote this Blurt has been down for a few days)

I am not sure how I have stayed calm with all my investments heading the wrong way. But I am still hanging on. I do not have as much crypto I once had, and have not wanted to sell any at this time. In spite of the dramatic drop in value of my overall retirement portfolio if I take into account the changes since January 2021 I have gained 25.98%. The leads to a 17.32% annual rate of return. I am pleased with that number. It is a good lesson in investing, on how we need to focus on a longer time frames, and not immediate results. Even though retirement for me is not far away, I still have to look long term. It is the overall return on investments over a period of time. When I was younger I could easily look decades ahead for a long term strategy. The longest investment I held was for over 21 years. Most of the time the gains were small at best and at time negative returns. Then last year the price went very high, and took advantage and sold for a 650% return. Over 21 years that averaged almost 31% per year. How does all relate to cryptocurrency? To me it is just another investment. I try not to focus on the fluctuation in prices for the short term. Instead I try and hold a long term view. With Blurt I continue with looking at the long term.

Well I think that is enough of that. I am hoping Blurt will be up and running by the time I finish this publication. I setting it up in Word and saving it so I do not have to start it over.

I bought my wife a floral arrangement for her birthday. I took a few photographs of some flowers. This flower is a carnation from the Dianthus family.

This next flower is also from the dianthus family. They are hardy for our area. I had these growing in a pot last summer, and when fall arrived set the pot in one of my flower beds. It survived the winter and is flourishing so far this year. This flower is also known as Sweet William. It has a small flower compared to the carnation. These are around the size of my thumbnail. The macro-lens allows us to get a great view of a small flower.

My wife bought me a potted flower arrangement. This flower is a shade loving Inpatient. I have the planter somewhat protected from the heat of the sun, and the blooms keep coming. There are a couple of plants in the arrangement I will re-pot and try and grow indoors. I am going to try the Impatient and see how it goes indoors. There are other plants that should do well indoors. For now I will keep it outside.

Here is another view of the above red rose. I always try and snap multiple photos and choose from the best I have. This one is very close to the above one, but I felt it deserved its place in my post. I hope you enjoy the additional view.

My final peony has come into full bloom. I enjoy this white blooms, with the pink blush. Blooming time for the Peonies are over till next year. The usually bloom in early June but they are behind schedule. The scent of this particular variety is wonderful. I may still have a couple of Peony photographs to share in future posts.

This brings us to the end of this publication. I trust you will find something in it that you enjoy. In my photography I try to bring out hidden beauty that many miss, and share the wonder I experience when I see a flower. This week's post is of no exception.

I normally use a Canon EOS Rebel T5 for most photographs, except where noted. I do have an older PowerShot Canon digital camera that I use from time to time. I do take some photographs with my Samsung Note 9 smart phone and include them from time to time. The only editing I do on my photographs is some cropping to center the photo, or to bring it closer to the viewer.

Thanks for the Patience😍

Once I bought dianthus, I love them, but I don't know what happened that a month after buying it, it died. The peony looks so beautiful, it has a very tender color.
I'm glad to have blurt back.

Not sure why your dianthus died. I know there are some that grow in warmer climates. Same carnations that floral shops get are grown in Mexico and I though parts of South America. The regular carnations are more tender and cannot be over-wintered here. Those labeled dianthus here are hardy. I had two different varieties of the dianthus, both grown in pots starting last year. One that is in this post did wonderful but the other died. Sometimes you have to just try again.
