On a particular day, I went for lectures hungry, because I had run out of grocery, however a friend bought me Fanta which I was grateful for. But the foodie in me made it look like I drank nothing.😑
After the lectures, I went back home. And since it was Wednesday and mid-week service I started preparing to attend. While in the process, I found two hundred and thirty naira in between the pages of one of my book.
I was glad and planned that I'll probably just buy an "hungry man Indomie" and by the next day I would have received some cash to restock.
But then I heard the holy Spirit say; "give the money when you get to church"
Then I said okay_after all there's always a blessing in obedience.
So I went for service. I meant I trekked to church joyfully but hungry.
The service was awesome and I was glad that I didn't stay home. So when the service was over, I started trekking home. But this time my intestine was twisting and the worms were doing a great job making it worse. I felt weak.
Omoh it became the case of not by power not by might but by the spirit that I was moving.
But then the Holy Spirit said something striking. He said_
That's how you become weak when you don't feed your spirit; you stagger, your spiritual bones become wobbly and once you are weak, there's a tendency that if anything mistakenly pushes you, you'll easily fall.
So whenever you wake up in the morning_ ask yourself; 'Harmony have you eaten today?'
Just the way you make sure to feed your natural body, let it be a conscious effort to feed your spirit day and night.
Because just like the physical body needs to be fed to stay alive, so does your spirit. And do not forget, the spiritual controls the physical."
So, have you eaten today?😌
Literally, I have heard " the feed your spirit thing" plenty of times but it hadn't dawn on me. Not until that experience. And the holy ghost had to use it to teach me to let it sink.
