SECRETS TO BECOMING CONTENTED 2

Hello beautiful people. Contentment is a feeling of quiet, internal peace and satisfaction. In other words, contentment means to be happy with what you have, who you are and where you are in life. It is respecting the reality of the present status quo. It is appreciating what you do and where you have gotten to. Contentment doesn't mean the absence of want but it means satisfaction even in the midst of desires trusting that life will work out for you.

Take into consideration what we have defined contentment to be, we can say that the fisherman story in the part 1 of this discussion, the man who was wealthy was not contented with what he had while the fisherman is the man who appreciate what he already has and what he already owns. He understands that he should be joyful and enjoy life with his family at intervals not until he has acquired all he wants in life.

The question we need to ask is:
What will make us contented?

How many children will be enough?
How many cars will be enough?
How many houses will be enough?
How many of things will be enough ?

Just a little more is the answer, the honest reply is a way. See that we are tempted to think life will be full and we will be contented when we achieve the next goal, so we keep chasing the next thing we wish to acquire.

The truth is we will need a lot more than we have if we are pursuing happiness. This is especially true when we chase after things we think we desire that we cannot achieve. This is true with everything you can think about. This is true with jobs, houses, talents, and very often with spouses. The job we have never seems good enough, and the ideal job always seems just out of reach. Our houses are never big enough or never in just the right location; but we cant quite get the one we want. We identify many of the talents that we have and sometimes brag about them! But we have an irritating envy of the other guys abilities. The level of divorce rate shows that we are always searching for something more in marriage.

The truth is we will always have these different needs and one thing is obvious, our needs will never be fully achieved. There is nothing that is enough to make us satisfied and stop desiring more things. For us tp be happy and to have peace of mind, we must control our desires and not allow our desires to control us.

We can achieve this through contentment.
