Welcome back, Blurtians!

This post headline was coined out of most Nigerian horror movies were by a viliant is been killed, most especially in it part two you will see a title like The Return Of......

In one of my recent posts, I discussed the unexpected technical issue that occurred a few weeks ago with MTN Nigeria, resulting in the clearance of everyone's airtime debt without any explanation. Initially, it was a moment of joy for many, but unfortunately, it wasn't meant to last.

Some viewed it as a spontaneous bonus or Christmas giveaway, unaware that such windfalls often come with strings attached. You can read more about it Mtn in A Big Mess.

I made some bold predictions about three possible courses of action MTN might take if the debts weren't returned. However, now that everyone's debts have been restored, the story takes a rather disheartening turn. MTN Nigeria has decided to hike up their data prices.

While I'm contemplating my options, such as switching to their competitors like Glo, Etisalat, or Airtel, it's disconcerting to note that third-party data resellers have also highlighted this increase in corporate, SME, and gift data prices.

It's becoming increasingly challenging for individuals like me, seeking affordable and reasonably priced data plans. Is this increase in price connected to the glitch that wiped out everyone's debts initially, now sparking this hike? Or is it merely a coincidence?

I'm at a crossroads, p the best way forward amidst this situation. What do you think?
