Fuel Price To Decrease As Local Refineries Begin Operation – Tinubu

The price of fuel has not only double but triple since the removal of fuel subsidy. The president Tinubu regime has been full of hardship and the price of goods and commodity have increase.

Fuel price has always been the determinate factor of lots of things as it's tye only means through which goods are move from one place to another.

The removal of subsidy has only brought pain and the billion on dollar that have been saved from the removal but yet to be used to develop the country.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently offered reassurance to Nigerians, sharing promising news during the 11th Convocation ceremony at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU).

He highlighted that local refineries would soon begin producing petroleum products, aiming to alleviate the high cost of fuel once these refineries are operational.

His declaration followed a previous statement made six months earlier, mentioning the plan for the Port Harcourt refinery to resume operations by December 2023 under his administration, which began on May 29.

Represented by Professor Garba Sharubutu, the Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria, President Tinubu acknowledged the ongoing economic challenges but remained optimistic, assuring citizens that these hardships would diminish once the local refineries start functioning.

He emphasized the imminent commencement of production in some local refineries, expressing confidence that this would significantly reduce the exorbitant prices of fuel energy currently burdening the populace.

President Tinubu also urged for patience and continuous support from Nigerians, emphasizing his administration's dedication to addressing the country's challenges.

He highlighted plans to allocate parts of the approved supplementary budget toward interventions in crucial segments of the agricultural sector.

Additionally, addressing the prevalent issue of insecurity in Nigeria, he assured the audience that measures were underway to make it history in the near future.

Furthermore, he called upon the country's agricultural universities to confront the challenges of food scarcity, highlighting the crucial role they play in addressing this pressing issue.
