Hello Blurtians,
Another year, another chapter—what a ride! Today's been a blast, and I've been feeling super grateful for all the love and celebrations from friends and family as I turn a year older.
It's been a great moment since Christmas Day when the whole family gathered under one roof.
It's not often we all get together, so seeing my siblings back home to celebrate Christmas was an absolute joy.
We caught up, shared stories, and of course, indulged in some good food.
Usually, I'd be at my place, sharing Christmas gifts to spread that Christmas and birthday cheer, but this time around, I've been knee-deep in house chores, getting everything spick and span before anyone else woke up.
At the early hour today, I was flooded with calls, texts, and birthday wishes has been heartwarming—I even got a few singing renditions over the phone!
This afternoon, my siblings surprised me by whisking my family and me off for a nice outing.
Our first stop was Chicken Republic, but alas, they were out of what we were craving. No worries, we hopped to another spot after snapping some fun pictures.
Eventually, we landed at Treasure, though it was packed! It took some wandering, but we finally nabbed a spot, albeit after some folks kindly gave up theirs.
We settled in, ordered snacks, drinks, and ice cream, and spent quality time bonding and capturing more memories.
Yet, amidst the fun, we couldn't ignore those less fortunate souls around us—kids begging for food or picking at leftovers.
It hit home, thinking about what might be driving them to that point.
Some might have moms unaware of their plight, others swayed by bad influences, and then those facing tough circumstances.
As the night wore on, we hopped on a tricycle back home, wrapping up what was truly a wonderful day. Parents came with their children to have some fun, young guys and ladies too. Every were was pack full of different kinds md of people of different age group.
Being another year older feels good, especially after a day filled with family, love, and a few unexpected reflections. That's a wrap for today!
