Day 2 of First Test:
South Africa went into bat with 233 runs on the second day. From the start, the Bangladeshi bowlers started bowling well. As a result, their fifth and sixth wickets fell for 245 runs. Khaled Ahmed dismissed Verene for 28 runs and Mulder for zero runs, who were unbeaten the previous day. After that, Mehdi Hasan hunted the undefeated parents of the previous day with a nervous nineties score of 93 runs after the team scored 298 runs. The next wicket was also taken by Mehdi Hasan and the team scored 298 runs. Keshav Maharaj scored 19 runs and got out. After that, Khaled Ahmed returned Williams for 12 runs after the team's 332 runs, then Mehdi Hasan Olivier was dismissed for 12 runs for the team's 367 runs and ended the innings of South Africa. Later in the last part of the day, Harmer returned Mushfiq to 7 runs after the team's 94 runs. Bangladesh ended the second day with 98 runs, losing four wickets. All of which were taken by Harmer. Opening batsman Mahmudul Joy remained unbeaten with 44 runs and Taskin Ahmed remained unbeaten with zero runs.
As a result, Bangladesh is 269 runs behind South Africa.

দ্বিতীয় দিনে ২৩৩ রান নিয়ে দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা ব্যাট করতে নামে।শুরু থেকেই বাংলাদেশের বোলাররা ভালো বল করতে শুরু করে।এর ফলস্বরূপ ২৪৫ রানেই তাদের পঞ্চম এবং ষষ্ঠ উইকেটের পতন ঘটে।আগের দিনের অপরাজিত থাকা ভেরেনেকে ২৮ রানে এবং মাল্ডারকে শূন্য রানেই আউট করেন খালেদ আহমেদ।এরপর দলীয় ২৯৮ রানের মাথায় গতদিনের অপরাজিত থাকা বাবামাকে ৯৩ রানের নার্ভাস নাইন্টিজ এর শিকার করেন মেহেদী হাসান।পরের উইকেট টাও মেহেদী হাসান ই নেন দলীয় ২৯৮ রানেই,কেশব মহারাজ ১৯ রান করে তার বলে আউট হন।এর পর আবার দলীয় ৩৩২ রানের মাথায় উইলিয়ামস কে ১২ রানে আবারও ফেরান খালেদ আহমেদ এরপর দলীয় ৩৬৭ রানে মেহেদী হাসান অলিভিয়ারকে ১২ রানে আউট করে শেষ করেন দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকার ইনিংস। টেলেন্ডারদেরকে নিয়ে জুটি গড়া ধর্যের পরীক্ষা দেয়া হার্মার শেষ পর্যন্ত ৩৮ রান করে অপরাজিত থাকেন।
পরে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাট করতে নেমে প্রথম থেকে দেখেশুনে খেললেও দলীয় ২৫ রানের মাথায় সাদমান ইসলাম ৯ রান করে আউট হন হার্মার এর বলে।পরে দলীয় ৮০ রানের মাথায় নাজমুল শান্ত ৩৮ রান করে আউট হন হার্মার এর বলেই।পরে দলীয় অধিনায়ক মমিনুল হক শূন্যে রান করে দলীয় ৮০ রানেই আউট হয়ে যান ওই হার্মার এর বলেই।পরে দিনের শেষভাগে দলীয় ৯৪ রানের মাথায় মুশফিককেও ৭ রানেই ফেরান হার্মার।৯৮ রান করে দ্বিতীয় দিন শেষ করে বাংলাদেশ চারটি উইকেট হারিয়ে।যার সবগুলোই নিয়েছেন হার্মার।ওপেনিং ব্যাটসম্যান মাহমুদুল জয় অপরাজিত থাকেন ৪৪ রান করে আর তাসকিন আহমেদ শূন্য রান করে অপরাজিত থাকেন।
ফলে বাংলাদেশ দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা থেকে আরো ২৬৯ রান পিছিয়ে আছে।
দ্বিতীয় দিন শেষে স্কোর: দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা ৩৬৭(অলআউট) এবং বাংলাদেশ ৯৮/৪.
