There was a youth among the Bani Israel, whose beauty was incomparable, who sold baskets. One day when he was wandering about with tracks a woman came out of the king's house, seeing him she ran inside and told the princess that I saw a young man selling tracks at the door, never seen such a handsome man.

The princess said: Call him. He came out and said to this young man: O young man! Come on, we'll buy too.

He entered and closed the door, then he entered another door, similarly he entered through three doors and closed the door.

Then the princess opened her chest and came in front of him. The young man said: Buy what you need, then I will go. He said: We did not call it to buy, we called it to satisfy the needs of the soul.

He said: Fear Allah. The girl said: If you don't do this then I will tell the king that you have entered my room with wrong intentions. Although he was given many advices, he did not obey. This young man said: I have to go to the toilet.

The princess asked the maid to arrange for her on the roof, from where she could not escape in any way. That roof was forty yards above the ground, and when he reached the top he said:

O Allah! I am compelled to do bad things, but I know it is better to throw myself than to sin. Then saying Bismillah he jumped from the roof, Allah sent an angel, who took his hand and made him stand on the ground, he was not hurt.

Then prayed: O Allah! If he wants, he can give me sustenance without doing this business. Allah sent him a bag of gold, he took as much as he could fit in his lap.

He said: Allah! If it is my livelihood in this world, bless me in it, and if it diminishes my reward for the Hereafter, then I need not.

It was said that this is part of the endurance you have when you do it from the roof. He said: O Allah! I don't need anything that detracts from my ultimate reward, so the gold was taken from him.
