This time I will write about microbiology and microbiology laboratory.
Microbiology:
The word microbiology comes from two words; microbes means micro-organism, logos means knowledge. So microbiology means knowledge of microorganism.
It is a branch of biology which deals with the study of different micro-organism.
Division of microbiology:
The division are based on the types of microorganisms. Sub division are also applied to these division. The common divisions are-
• Bacteriology: It is a branch of microbiology which deals with the study of different bacteria.
• Virology: It is a branch of microbiology which deals with the study of different virus.
• mycology: it is a branch of microbiology who is deals with the study of different fungus.
• parasitology: it is a branch of microbiology which deals with the study of different Parasites. Protozoology is a subdivision of this division.
Microbiology laboratory:
Laboratory denotes the place where various types of scientific experiment take place.
Microbiological laboratory is the place where the practical procedures to identify, culture, detect biochemical behaviors, determine the specific characteristics, destruction etc of microorganisms has done.
Features half and ideal microbiological laboratory:
Building: concrete building is ideal but tin shaded with a concrete wall can be accepted.
External environment: criteria of external environment-
• high land in non flood zone.
• adequate water drainage facility.
• provided with sewage facilities.
• free from population.
Internal environment: criteria of external environment,
• educate ventilation system.
• electrified.
• provided with water supply and sanitation.
• provided with appropriate furniture that will be decorated in a good manners.
• air conditioned laboratory is ideal.
• besides come on electronic equipment Sach as fun, light etc. Laboratory provided with insect trap.
• day rooms and places arrange in a good manner.
