These photos were taken before the pandemic of the coronavirus and correspond to different places of the Italian coast on the Mediterranean Sea, in the so-called Ligurian Riviera (Liguria).

The photos were taken on different days and in different atmospheric conditions in order to be able to evaluate the different intensity of the colors.

As in the pampa plains of central Argentina, the sun is clearly visible at sunset as a ball of fire. It then falls abruptly.

From that moment on, a true kaleidoscope begins on the horizon with an intense red color of a rather light color that darkens and takes on increasingly darker reddish tones until it becomes confused with the shadows of the twilight.

On the other hand, we are reminded of the superstitions of the ancient navigators who believed that, since the Earth was round, behind that limit there was an abyss, something unknown that they did not dare to venture into.

Undoubtedly there were many beliefs and superstitions in the past that no longer exist or have been modified today :)
