WHAT ARE BLURT KEYS?

This are set of keys that gives you access to your account on the blurt blockchain, this keys gives you access to post, transfer funds and do other things on the blurt blockchain without this keys no transactions can be carried out on your account.

HOW DO I KEEP MY KEYS AND ACCOUNT SECURE?

When it comes to securing keys, I always tell my new recruits to copy them and save them as a document in an encrypted folder or flash or they can copy their keys and convert them to barcode then print and save it offline(I will do an explainer post about this soon)

When logging into your account only use keys that gives appropriate permissions to what your doing:

POSTING KEY: For your everyday use(Login)
ACTIVE KEY: For transactions like transfers, delegate, power ups, etc.
MEMO KEY: To encrypt and decrypt private messages.
OWNER KEY: For changing the password.

Make sure you save your master key in a way you don't misplace or rewrite it with the other set of keys.

Do not share your password or keys with any other persons or a third party site.

WHY SHOULD I CARE ABOUT MY MASTER PASSWORD?

The master password is responsible for all the other keys, it can be used to generate new set of keys including the owner key. If anyone has access to the master password then that person can steal your accounts and all the funds in it.

WHAT ARE MY DIFFERENT KEYS FOR?

POSTING KEY: This key allows you to post, edit, reblurt, comment, vote, follow or mute other accounts. Blurtians are advised to use this key when logging into the accounts as it reduces the amount of damages that a compromised account key would cause.

ACTIVE KEY: This key is more sensitive and gives you access to transfer funds from one account to another, vote for witnesses, power up/down transactions and more. Anyone with this key cannot take your account but can take all your tokens.

MEMO KEY: This key is meant for encrypting and decrypting memos when carrying out a transaction. To encrypt a memo, use the pound/# sign before it.

OWNER KEY: This key is only supposed to be used when necessary. It can change all the other keys in an account making it the most powerful key. This key has the ability to change itself that is why it is meant to be stored in a safe and secure place and its to be used when an account is compromised.

HOW DO I RECOVER LOST ACCOUNT?

Well I don't think you can recover a lost blurt account or the owner/masther key. Because blurt is a legit and real value platform it is very important for you to save your owner/master key somewhere safe and secured.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MASTER KEY AND ONWER KEY?

The master password generated all the other keys including the Owner key. The only time the master password should be used is when you are going through account recovery. The master password is gotten at the very first day you signed up, you will then take the password to blurtwallet.com login and get the other set of keys.

I hope you find this post very useful and don't forget to reblurt and leave a comment for me.
