WORST DAY EVER😢

Gooday lovers of blurt. Hope you all have been keeping on. As for me, I'm fine now even though life was a bit tormenting few days ago.

Yes, it was the saddest Sunday eve in my life when a call came through to apprise me that a dear one was had kicked bucket.

Ogbonnia Esther Chidimma (aka) Ches was my colleague in school, my course mate. A final year student in the department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources management, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike. She was that close to me that her departure had created a lasting vacuum in my heart.

We lost her in the cold hand of dead over an accident which happened as a result of dilapedated road of Umudike Iko-ekpene, Umuahia in Abia state Nigeria which has turned to a dead trap for students that apply's on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED

On a traffic jam, the car she was inside was packing directly behind a long truck whose driver had gone out to help other vehicles who had been involved in an accident.

Within a short period of time the long truck that has no driver inside started rolling back against the vehicle my friend was.

The driver of the private car tried to dodge the back rolling truck by starring his hand to opposite direction, mean while, my friend had already made an excape attempt so that immediately the driver cut his hand to the other side, my friend had jumped out with her head exactly at the center of the heavy truck tyre.😭 The rest was story. That was how Miss Chidimma Esther Ogbonnia became headless. The trailer smashed her head😭.

This incident happened on Sunday eve 3rd of October, 2021 and it was as a result of a dilapidated and abandoned federal road that leads to our school, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU).

Earlier on we had lost 2 students already to thesame road, including one first class graduate who met her end when she went to refill her gas cooking cylinder at a nearby filling station. Her graduation and thanksgiving service was just barely one week before tears started drizzling as a result of her dermis.

The students can't bear it anymore. We can't afford to lose one more student over an unattended situation of the road. Therefore. We charged for protest ✊.

We kicked off protest on the subsequent day, Monday, 4th of October, 2021.

The reason for our protest was for the government to fix our road or there will be no movement on that road till further notice. Therefore, we shut down the road from 6 to 6. And was ready to continue the blockage until the state government say something.

Some delegates at the SUG including the president were sent to the government house. They came back with a promise made by the governor that the government will commence the road repair within four days of the protest.
But no matter what happens, Ches is gone 😔.

But it's now in the past, even though the memory is still there. It's already 5 daysbut I gats cheer up🤓.

NOTE I did have some newbies I was supposed to have registered but the ugly situation that got my heart shattered did not allow me to concentrate. However, I still succeeded in registering @churchman.

I pray that the new week we will enter from tomorrow will be full of good news. And ofcourse, more newbies into the platform.
