Good day everyone, I'm one of the participants of the colour contest organised by powerclub. This contest is about colours, seven different colours one post for each colour. As expected I'm starting with the first theme black using my black mortar and pestle.
As we all know this little equipment has long been in existence from the stone age to this present generation.
My roommate got ours last two years and it's still very new and strong.
The mortar is shaped like a small cup or bowl having very thick walls while the pestle looks like a small heavy club with it's end used for both grinding and crushing. Both were made from hard materials, ours is made with marble.
This mortar and pestle is very useful to us especially in the preparation of food. We use it to grind, crush and mix both dry and wet food ingredients. We use it to process foodstuffs such as spices, crayfish, leaves, pepper amongst others. It really helps us get whatever consistency of the foodstuffs that we want, whether powdered, small chunks or flakes.
Another crucial importance of this kitchen equipment is that it is always ready to serve us, whether there is power supply or not. Sometimes when there is power outage and we really need to grind foodstuffs, these equipment would always be available for use it doesn't require any power, just add the foodstuffs and grind to your satisfaction👍.
