So, we all know we Indians celebrate diwali on the occassion of lord Ram coming back to Ayodhya after 14 years spending life in forest(vanvaas) so we celebrate the same for that according to Hindu mythology.
But we sikhs celebrate it for additional reasons.
On the day 6th guru of Sikhism guru hargobind Singh ji freed 52 kings from Mughal emperor on the day by wearing a dress with 52 threads, each king holding a thread. So we celebrate the day as bandi chod diwas ( or prison release) and celebrate in gurudwara by lighting candles and lamps
Here are some pics from the day.

I was busy in cleaning up and shopping that I did not got chance to wear new clothes on diwali but yeah next days but I have not got chance to click images. So only these images with me for now.
Other than this we decorated our living room and added some new curtains, sofa covers and clothing.
We also added two paintings to the room.
