For me it's more about things there you will never see in any 'shop', a bit like looking through someones house at all their 'treasure'. Plus if you have a lot of retro stuff you might find a part or something to go with it. A bit like owning a betamax and finding some tapes to fit. My dad did get betamax and he knew it was superior to VHS.

VHS were crap, betamax was the daddy, cd is rubbish too compared to vinyl, betamax was better sound and vision, vinyl was better sound, you watch and listen to 1, the other you listen, but everyone got sold the crap via adverts.

yeh my dad was very big on music and stereo's and he claimed shenanigans went on coz beta was the best of the two. CD's make good bird scarers.

he was right, it was Phillips that pushed for VHS, as they had invented tape, they also invented the cd player/laser reader, it was all about licensing money/fees.
I have no cd at the apartment, only vinyl and some Quad electrostatic speakers from 1983, you have to plug them into the mains electric to get them working, they cost around £2500 back then, still got them 👍

oh you reminded me I gave my dads stereo to my cousin coz it was too big to take on a boat and she got rid of it. It had big old speakers too and a B&O turntable. I was so mad. Yeh my dad was clever.

I bet she got good money for it.

OMG you might have a point there!! I fell out with her in 2015 anyway, for good this time. She is toxic.

B&O tt's fetch good money, and if he had that then the speakers were probably high quality, and again, good money.
