A TRAIN CALLED LIFE

in poetry •  7 months ago

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is having a great day. I just wrote my first poem of many (I hope), it is far from decent I know. I just want to share this journey with interested few. Thanks.
It is an ode to life. I call it: A TRAIN CALLED LIFE.

Among a million that day
I survived the strife
Emptily I boarded the large train
Right! They called it life

For me but by someone else
My sit was already picked
My arrival was met
with smiles exposing teeth

"Listen son", said Powell
This is an intense journey
Don't throw in that towel
When it gets funny

A few turned friends
I saw others become foes
rather early ends some met
Longer some stayed on the road

Some days it rained
Some terrains were messy
Regardless of the day
Everyday was a blessing

The ride went fast
Walking down memory lane
Many years into the past
Seemed just like yesterday

Soon my turn it was
to exit the long ride
emptily i proceeded to the doors
Of the train they called life.
