There are days dedicated to particular activities where on that particular day we acknowledge that particular accomplishment, event, relation, or activity, globally.
One such event in which I participated was World Environmental Day where we were supposed to do a particular act contributing to the improvement of the environment to avoid global warming.
I decided to donate a plant! This plant was nurtured by me at my home in the pot from the seed. This is a date plant. I had randomly sowed a few date seeds in my empty pot while gardening and this one thrived. Since I stayed in an apartment, I was unable to transfer it to the ground, but on this very day when this institution announced this task for such a good cause I decided this is it, this is the chance and I donated this plant to this institute called NSTI (National Skill Training Institute).
When I recently visited this place almost 6 months later, I was overwhelmed to see this plant, its growth, and its prominence in the very location at the center. I was not sure that it would survive and they would preserve it, but luckily, I was wrong. This gave me immense happiness and satisfaction. I am not associated with the place anymore but still I will visit this institution especially for this plant to see it become a fully grown fruit-bearing tree. Inshallah!
